Palillos II House

Palillos II House

Chetecortes Architects as Staff7

The project is on the beach Palillos, south of Lima, Peru to 116 kilometers from the city. The starting point was to achieve transparency, so as not to obstruct the sea view, and not just people who live there can see the beach but also the neighbors who are not in and walking back. This was achieved by placing the private spaces to the side, making a coated stone volume and the rooms are on the second level, public spaces like the living room and kitchen in most area so you can see through them with clear glass. To keep privacy between outside and inside the income level rises. Another important point is achieved with the design is the connection of the outer housing glasses to hide inside the walls and be completely open to the outside. The interior spaces such as bedrooms, bathrooms and toilets, are treated as one, so that the perception of space is much larger, with the divisions between the bathroom and bedroom transparent glass coated with wooden doors slide so you can open or close bath depending on the use you want to give and from the bathroom can have a view outside through the screen of the bedroom.
