B+O Architecture and Interior have designed a contemporary and sustainable office building in Beilen after being commissioned to do so by a care agency.
The office building is characterized by its all-glass facades. The inside walls between the offices and corridors are largely of glass. To prevent overheating wooden slats are used as exterior cladding. Between the walls and the slats glass balconies are created. At the head of the office building the canteen crosses through the wooden slats in the form of a glass box.
The entrance of the office building takes the form of an orange tiled house that was derived from the logo of the care agency. This cottage is derived from the logo of the care agency. The office building has been designed so it easily can be extended.
The sustainable nature of the building is partly reflected in the low-maintenance materials, the heat pump (which can be both heated and cooled), the ventilation system with heat recovery and the use of natural lighting. With this office, B+O Architectuur en Interieur have realized a contemporary and sustainable building with a limited budget.
