Fossalunga is a small village (nearby Venice) that grew up around the main street in a linear way. The buildings, that define the main square, are an ancient villa (XVIII° century) and the Church.
Horizon: the nursery school is situated in the northern part of the village between the buildings and the landscape; the school itself draw the new horizon.
La piazza: the school is designed around a central hall, that looks towards the village (South) and the landscape (North).
The streets (passages), crossing the hall, connect, on one side, to the classrooms and, on the other side, to the dining-room till the old exhisting school. These passages are differents in terms of dimension, proportion, color, function.
Section, light: the different widths of the structure correspond to different height in sections (3,60 and 2,40 meters); in this way different functional spaces are related to different proportion; the rhytm of the structure comes out through the natural light that cross the deepness of the building.
