The building is located in an alley confronting the cemitery. Not only the site's characteristics but also the proximity of irregular plots, stress the need to establish an architectonic ruled reference, highlightning the dignity of the access to the main church (in the end of the alley).
The plot is longitudinally occupied by three volumes connected by a wall which is parallel to the alley: a bigger Chapel and two smaller ones (for deathwatch) are interconnected by a gallery or lounging area. The entrance and all infrastructural spaces are as well in relation with this gallery. The access is alligned with the cemetery's entrance. External symbolic relationships are established in opposition to the cemetery: green space in confront with the dryness of marble graves; open space in confront with the space of settlement.
In terms of construction, simplicity is aimed as to highlight the bereavement of the religious moment. In the main Chapel and in the gallery, walls and ceilings are in concrete, pavement is in wood and stone. Deathwatching chapels have external roman travertine marble and internal plastered walls and ceilings and wood pavement. Roof covering and entrance doors are in copper sheet.
