MODAFAD is a Barcelona based fashion association which promotes young and experimental designers from all Spain and gives them the opportunity to exhibit their work. Its mission is to organise international fashion shows.
Fashion is about the temporary, the ephemeral, the contingent. Its characters are reflected in this year's edition of MODAFAD, which features the idea of no-gravity architecture.
Our proposal is to work on a light roof-pavilion that activates new shared functions in Plaza Real, in Barcelona.
MODAFAD will be deconstructed and then reassembled as a shiny Alphabet-Soup-like pattern floating over the catwalk.
This latter consists of a pink crosswalk that runs along the plaza throughout the palms and features a 30m loop-walkway.
