The project was the result of a continuous critic process and of many months of work and analysis.
The final form of the principal façade is a very solid horizontal wall on the ground floor, acting like a robust base for two lightweight feeling elements on the first level.
One of the most important characteristics of the house, which came from the analysis of the site’s environment, is that north façade is as closed as possible to avoid cold wind and the south one is mostly opened to get the most quantity of sunrays inside to get the house warmer.
Amaze and generate a path for the client. The access at first instance looks like a modest entrance, but once you cross the hallway, the house appear completely opened, full of light and directly related to the yard. Living room, dining room and kitchen are located on the ground floor in a single and large space; also in the same level are placed the servant spaces like laundry room and a toilet for guests.
Going upstairs through the one way stair, on the first level are placed the private spaces like Tv room, two secondary bedrooms and a master bedroom with dressing room and bathroom.
We propose a terrace on the roof top to get the most wonderful views of The Nevado de Toluca volcano (it is the fourth highest of Mexican’s peaks). Planters and outdoors furniture goes with a storage room and a toilet on the terrace.
