RAL Homes as Manufacturers

Designed for energy efficiency and straightforward assembly, these homes are tailored to comply with any applicable bushfire attack level.

The RAL building system

An alternative to traditional-style square housing, the RAL building system offers clients the flexibility to select from a series of eight components to create a home that accommodates individual requirements and allows home seekers to create a personal and individual reflection of their own lifestyle. The system gives homeowners the option of extending the home down the track by purchasing additional components and adding them to the existing home. These residences are mostly self-supporting, meaning non-load-bearing internal partition walls can be added or removed to create rooms as required. RAL’s homes come in kits which are ready within 12 weeks from order; they often fit on one semi-trailer or shipping container and are delivered Australia-wide and overseas.

Benefits of the RAL design

Low maintenance and structurally strong, RAL houses are very well insulated throughout the entire shell (walls, roof and floor). The curved design encourages a natural airflow preventing the typical problem of heat becoming trapped in ceiling corners. With a ceiling height of 3.063m in the centre, the RAL modules create plenty of liveable space and with the reduction of unnecessary ceiling area the amount of airspace that needs to be heated and cooled is reduced by 20 per cent. Large attractive windows allow for full appreciation of views and when positioned with a Northerly aspect, improve thermal efficiency.

The recessed leaf-free guttering system is ideal for catching rainwater and RAL houses are suitable for all current bushfire attack levels, as per AS3959-2009 requirements. Pricing varies according to the applicable level.
