Life Edited Competition

The aim of this competition is to transform an old 40m2 apartment in New York to be the home of a single person. The house should be able to accommodate twelve people dinning and lounge space for seven.
Due to the several conditions, such as the size limit and existing infrastructures that should be kept, the apartment is divided in three areas. The living and the dinning area are placed in the half next to the entrance, the bathroom, kitchen and bathroom are placed in the other half. In order to optimize the living area, the bedroom and kitchen volumes are twisted. The bedroom is elevated in order to create storage space and increase the privacy. The living area height is lower, limiting the space and providing storage.
