The Santa Catarina project is a real estate development comprising several buildings in Historic Downtown Mexico City, in Calle República de Brasil 74 and Plaza de Santa Catarina 12 – 14 – 16 and Calle República de Paraguay 35 and 37 as well as a plot with parking use that forms part of the complex, in Calle República de Paraguay 36 and 40.

Brasil Building:
It is a three-level building with two interior patios built in the 18th and 19th centuries, cataloged by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
We propose to recover the building to use is as offices. It houses several agencies of the Federal District Government that operate in the Historic Center: Department of Public Security - Jupiter Base, National Civil Protection System, Historic Center Trusteeship, Federal District Attorney General's Office - Tourist Office and Civil Registrar.

We have also projected several multiple-use rooms, a kitchenette for common use as well as a space for security and administration.
Since there are several entrances to the building, on the ground floor we have placed spaces for public use. The upper levels house offices that have less contact with the public.

In the roof there is an open terrace, which is a space for rest and for the users of the building to get together.
The proposal seeks to restore the building in an economic and simple way. The main interventions were in the two patios, where we intend to include representative green spaces. The interior spaces will be defined by a minimalist-style intervention.

Paraguay Building:
This two-story building of the 19th century is cataloged by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
We project to recover the building to use it for offices. It will house two government agencies of the Federal District, which operate in the Historic Center: The Federal District Attorney General's Office – Cuauhtémoc IV Public Department and the Civic Court.

Additionally there is a project for a multiple-use room, a kitchenette for common use and a space for the security and administration office.
Access will be from Paraguay street; the access to Plaza Santa Catarina will be an emergency exit only.

The proposal seeks to restore the building in an economic and simple way. The main interventions will be to recover available spaces, since the land at present is 100% occupied and a new section will house galleries and the public prosecutor offices. The interior spaces will be defined by a minimalist-style intervention.
