In a steep landscape structured by terraced walls, a building fits between the rock, the vineyards and the lake.
The place called Lavaux-Vinorama is dedicated to presenting the wines of the region. The solar appearance of the building is largely due to the reflection of the sky and light. On the large windows facing the lake, about 6,000 small mirrors in brass and stainless steel cover up the façade and compose a pattern of vine leaves when seen from a long distance.
Despite this accumulation of small reflective objects, the glass wall carrying this whole unity stays largely transparent from the inside. Such as the leaves of a vineyard pergola, this metal veil filters the sunlight and creates a shadow that reminds harvest times.
