La Capital has infused a modern twist to the traditional cantina, while evoking its spirit through the volumetric qualities of a tall, narrow space inside. The elements within it are organized functionally, with all utilities and service spaces pushed to one side, leaving ample room. The entire building consists of a single and completely open volume. The kitchen is located in the back area, near the terrace. On the ground level of the building we find the parking lot. The interplay between the ground floor and the slope which goes down to the underground level was achieved by creating a graded ramp where seats have been placed. The graded ramp conveys an interesting play of different levels, but leaving unobstructed the openness of this space. This idea is also reflected on this screen that makes up the middle portion of the facade, which follows a recognizable pattern transformed by increasing its scale and proportion. A window below turns occupants a part of the facade as a moving, ever-changing window display.
