Masisa as Manufacturers

Jardin Lab Project is an ambitious initiative that seeks to articulate the furniture industry around a common goal: improving preschool spaces.


The Kindergarten "José María Luis Mora" located in Tecamac, Mexico State, in coordination with the Integrated Educational Services to the State of Mexico (SEIEM), Masisa and its allies managed remodel three classrooms and a multipurpose room that currently have innovative furniture, custom designed, which guarantee the safety of each child.


This project was conducted as part of the concept that articulates Masisa planeta, which seeks to link permanently to the main members of the furniture industry: designers, producers, suppliers, universities and furnishing users with proposals that respond to the needs market. The design of the furniture was made by students at the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City Campus and University Center, in conjunction with renowned designers among those found Row Studio, and Cecilia Ariel Red Lion Bar.


For the production of the furniture had the support of companies like HK, Design & Cutting, Ferreti and Stor Group, who were responsible for shaping the boards DecoMDF furniture provided by MASISA and its strategic partners, including include: Hafele, Novoflex, Sayer Lack, Comex and Maybaum. Additionally, the builder Vicamco supported in the restoration process of the classroom. ___________________


El Proyecto Jardín Lab es una ambiciosa iniciativa que busca Articular la industria del mueble entorno a un objetivo común: mejorar los espacios de educación preescolar.


El Jardín de Niños “José María Luis Mora” ubicado en Tecamac, Estado de México, junto con en coordinación con los Servicios Educativos Integrados al Estado de México (SEIEM), Masisa y sus aliados lograron remodelar tres aulas y un salón de usos múltiples que actualmente cuentan con innovadores muebles, diseñados a la medida, que garantizarán la seguridad de cada uno de los niños.


Este proyecto se llevó a cabo como parte del concepto Articula que Masisa plantea, el cual busca vincular de manera permanente a los principales integrantes de la industria del mueble: diseñadores, productores, proveedores, universidades y usuarios con propuestas de mobiliario que respondan a las necesidades del mercado. El diseño de los muebles corrió a cargo de alumnos la Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM), la Universidad Iberoamericana Campus Ciudad de México y la Universidad CENTRO, en conjunto con reconocidos diseñadores entre los que se encuentran Row Studio, Ariel Rojo y Cecilia León de la Barra.


Para la producción de los muebles se contó con el apoyo de empresas como HK, Design & Cutting, Ferreti y Grupo Stor, quienes fueron los responsables de dar forma a los muebles con los tableros DecoMDF proporcionados por MASISA y sus aliados estratégicos, entre las que destacan: Hafele, Novoflex, Sayer Lack, Comex y Maybaum. Adicionalmente, la constructora Vicamco apoyó en el proceso de restauración de las aulas.
