“Jade Signature” Takes Fortune International to New Heights with Latest, Most Prestigious in Jade Tower Succession

Fortune International announces the next chapter in its prestigious collection of Jade appointed buildings with the highly coveted “Jade Signature” on Sunny Isles Beach.

Founder and President of Fortune International Edgardo Defortuna assembled a world-class team for his latest creation, combining Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, Parisian interior design firm PYR led by Pierre-Yves Rochon, and renowned Miami-based landscape architecture firm Raymond Jungles.

"We've been waiting for the perfect time, location and talent to launch Jade Signature,” says Defortuna. “It was our mission to deliver something that the market has never experienced before in Miami, and I think this development reflects exactly that. Herzog & de Meuron never cease to create beautiful designs tailored to the surrounding environment, and with Fortune's reputation for knowing what buyers of this caliber desire, I think we have perfected the elements for an extraordinary oceanfront building.”

The property’s unveiling comes as South Florida’s architectural status rises to new levels. With Herzog & de Meuron, Fortune International will bring a new outstanding project to Sunny Isles.

Established in 1978 in Basel, Switzerland, Herzog & de Meuron is known for designs that are at once highly inventive and sensitive to the site, geography and culture of the region for which its buildings are planned. The innovative team known for the Beijing National Stadium, Tate Modern in London, 1111 Lincoln Road, and the new Peréz Art Museum Miami, brings forth Jade Signature with a more evolved and sophisticated approach to living. While Miami is known for its flash and flare, Herzog & de Meuron engaged a thoughtful process that subtly transforms preconceived notions of high-rise living. For example, unlike most luxury condo layouts, Jade Signature’s entrance and lobby are directly connected to its pool and the beach, establishing a unique and seamless connection between the common areas and stunning natural surroundings.

“The relation to place is integral,” says Christine Binswanger, Senior Partner with Herzog & de Meuron. “We created deep terraces and living rooms that have simultaneous views to the ocean in the east and to the Intracoastal to the west. We designed common areas to be on the ground level, connected with the beach, just as they were originally conceived for the beachfront hotels that have drawn people to Miami since the early 20th Century."

To achieve that seamless flow through design on the ground floor, the parking has been designed to go underground. “This is something done across the rest of the world to allow for a full connection to the land and environment of a property, and we wanted to make a commitment to bring that quality experience to the residents at Jade Signature," says Edgardo Defortuna. "Working with Herzog & de Meuron, we were able to achieve this idyllic design and allow for unobstructed views of lush landscape and direct access to the beach."

These contemporary houses in the sky feature stunning oceanfront views with expansive terraces, making up an impressive 30 percent of living space. Windows, designed to frame the horizon, reinforce the connection between interior and exterior.

“The overall form is quiet. In this tower, the details are making the architectural identity. Primary elements, such as cantilevering floor slabs together with walls projecting from inside-out, create a finely textured expression on the façade,” says Binswanger.

Herzog & de Meuron conducted an extensive sun study on the Jade Signature site to ensure the zero-entry swimming pool and lap pool located on the beach level were positioned to capture the maximum amount of sunlight year round, especially during high season when most residences are in use.

Residents relax in style on the oceanfront resort deck in secluded cabanas and hot tub. The beach bar and grill provides service in the pool and beach areas.

Jade Signature offers luxurious amenities for all ages. The “teen tech lounge” features the most advanced gaming and technology. Younger children are invited to learn and play in the toddler sensory and reading center, featuring a “Smart Board” for high-tech progressive learning. The spa and water terrace offer amenities unique to even a traditional spa, including a co-ed hamam, invigorating cold rain shower, oceanfront massage beds as well as a yoga deck surrounded by a Zen garden.

Interior design firm PYR, led by Pierre-Yves Rochon, is refining the lobby, common areas and unit interiors. The company gained international prestige for elegant interiors in top luxury residences, spas and hotels, including Four Seasons George V in Paris, The Savoy Hotel in London, Hotel Sacher in Vienna and The Peninsula in Shanghai.

Renowned designer Raymond Jungles is commissioned for lush tropical landscaping, shaping Jade Signature as a modern sanctuary from the inside and out.

The 57-story building features 192 spacious homes, ranging from 1,400 to 10,500 square feet, with pricing ranging from $2 million to over $26 million. Jade Signature’s six Sky Villas are two stories with double height in the living areas and the two Signature penthouses each boast 360-degree views, 12 foot ceilings and a large terrace pool.

Jade Signature also features six guest suites located on the spa level, which will have their own kitchenettes and private terraces overlooking the garden grounds and will be available for residents to purchase. These suites are designed to comfortably accommodate visiting guests.
