From the station with the bus for about 20 minutes, long and slender site from east to west is project site which is enclosed surroundings by the field and the house where height is low.


This project is a house of two families for the young marrieds and the child, the parents and the daughter. LDK was bright and its ceiling is high, the family were able to live happily happily was a demand for the hope of both homes. The room of annex that is able to blind up the bonsai of the hobby was wanted by parents. Moreover, it was an absolute condition of suitable for small articles and the furniture of the antique style that was wife's hobby to want a gentle space.


Parents and the daughter live in the 1st floor, and young marrieds and the child live in the 2nd floor. To raise the ceiling in the first floor, and to take light and the wind, an opening was secured for the south side as much as possible.


In the second floor, the ceiling type from the shed roof to the span roof was changed respectively, the difference of height was made on the floor in LDK and the free space, and the height of the ceiling was changed too. The pendant light was arranged like the grid. The height of the light arranges by daring to adjust length, and the balance with an irregular ceiling height is taken. Simple rectangular LDK became a complex, mysterious space by various elements of, the finish based on light white, lights arranged in grid, the shape of the ceiling, the difference of the floor. In the night, it develop an illusion that appearing the small starry sky in a house by modulating of the pendant lights. A soft image of the 2nd floor was connected to the outside by painting the cryptomeria board of the outside wall on light white.


The wife stands in kitchen, the child author in the desk of a little high free space, and parents are maintaining the bonsai at annex in the 1st floor. It wishes the thing that becomes a throat or light scenery. .
