House on the hill

The house is located on Fortress Hill, enjoying a south orientation and a beautiful perspective on Cluj-Napoca.The owners wished a house that is open towards city but in the same time protected against inclementweather from the cold seasons. Due to the small dimensions of the land, the volume of the house isdeveloped vertically, on three levels. Higher level, the most generous one, protects the courtyard andthe outdoor stair through its translation. At the inside, this volume accommodates a flexible and openliving space, oriented towards city. The lower levels are developed into a compact volume, in the formof loggia, that protects the glass facades from the bedrooms.
