Elegant Seniors Residence

NSDA Architects as Architects

Granville Gardens is an elegant seniors residence that offers hospitality services and wide range of amenities to support independence and shared experiences of community living. The 3-storey project has 62 seniors rental units, extensive common areas and amenities and one level of underground parking.

The three-storey building is configured in plan as a stepped T-shape oriented in a north-south direction with three residential wings. The project’s orientation and layout breaks down the overall building massing and creates three open space realms: a large landscaped south-facing private courtyard for residents, a public entrance courtyard area fronting onto 49th Avenue, and a smaller landscaped area along Granville Street.

The common areas are generous and well proportioned and include a fireside lounge, dining room, games room, bistro cafe, library, multi-purpose room, TV lounge, beauty salon, and a private party room. The landscaped courtyard gardens provide quiet secure places for residents and visitors to sit or stroll.
