Located on the Geenestraat in Nederweert is a small-scale sheltered accommodation centre that is home to 24 people with mental and physical disabilities. The decision was taken to create four clusters, each consisting of six dwellings, in the form of an apartment complex with four entrance halls and two lifts, each of which serve one large dwelling. The lifts have two doors and each door is accessible from an apartment. A patio can be found towards the rear of the building and may be used by all residents within the complex.

Every dwelling has been fitted with an extremely large window, extending from the floor to the ceiling. On the top floors, the windows are surrounded by a stone frame. When laying out the windows, the dividing threshold has been positioned in such a way that residents are able to look outside without restriction, even if they are confined to a wheelchair. The (outside) awnings have been integrated into the window frames themselves. The combination of the click-brick stones and the uPVC doors and windows in the large frames all help make this project an interesting and engaging story.
