The plan of this house has two distinct wings and a narrow connection between the two. The connection contains the stair and circulation and is washed by abundant light from a skylight above. The larger wing is rectangular and rationally planned, the shorter wing on the west side of the entry is the more irregularly shaped sensually curved section of the house.
Inside, light and views are maximised by a transparent stainless steel and glass stair suspended over an inside/outside pond which becomes a feature of the interior.
The house is not air-conditioned and designed to keep cool in summer with ample shutter-controlled natural lighting and ventilation, and has an abundance of rainwater tanks to minimise water usage.
