Concept: Our concept for the entry on the Euramax competition, seeks to extend the contest idea to all the workers, clients, passersby and possible client that will be exposed to the factory wall, and also allow them to experience the possibilities that the Aludesign technology has to offer.
How would we do that? First you must instigate a little curiosity, therefore the facade must not be covered in any sort of color or texture, it should be interactive, and thus comes in play the blank QR code facade.
Only a white façade and a QR code? Yes, that leads to a further engaging experience that will serve as complement for the Aludesign technology marketing and will help explain the possibilities and full freedom of the printing system using any image or illustration.
What does the QR code do? Using the QR code, which will be printed on the aluminium panels on the façade of the factory, any passerby, worker or client, will scan it, and have access to a free augmented reality app, that will allow the user to change in real time the visual of the factory façade. Moreover, by doing so, the app allows the client to fully understand the amount of possibilities that the Aludesign technology has to offer.
Explain the product using an augmented reality app? Yes! The augmented reality app can place any kind of texture, color or image, in real time, on the façade of the factory, and the user will be able to see from any angle using, any kind of smartphone of tablet. The QR code would also function as an anchor for the app to position the 3d generated façade, with the user selected colors or textures, on the factory façade.
