Steel skin and the nature

This project was designed by brothers Alfonso and Gonzalo Valega Rey: ECKE arquitectos
In this building there are 4 apartments of 150m2 and an apartment on the top floor of 190m2.
Vegetation plays an important role in the approach to architecture. This is why it is proposed as part of the building envelope, a wall created by a metal structure with plants inside.
All edficacion lines are related to some element in the proposal.
The facade is composed of aluminum plates were placed like bricks. This texture creates different sensations, the reflection of the metal varies depending on time of day, giving a constant movement in architecture.
The other elements of the facade are the concrete walls, steel and white polyurethane paint.
