KANNFINCH were selected as the architects and master planner for the preparation of this development application following a design competition involving five of Sydney’s leading architectural practices. The mixed use project is on a 2.8 hectare site and consists of seven buildings including 630 apartments and 9700sqm of commercial and retail space.
The urban master plan for the site provides a highly permeable and publicly accessible outcome for the site including a public plaza, park and roads forming a new connection between Hurstville Town Centre and Allawah Railway Station.
The development of an urban master plan and development application of this size involved the co-ordination and input of a wide range of stakeholders including Hurstville Council, the NSW Government Architect and the local community.
The design, documentation and construction of Stage 1 of this project comprising two buildings and 180 apartments is complete. KannFinch is currently finalising documentation of the Stage 2 works comprising 3 buildings and over 280 apartments.
