To create an iconic building easy to associate with health care. A building so clear that all users will identify themselves with. To generate a unique and simple language and propose variations from one center to the other with the same character and identity. A stark white building transcending peace and serenity from the outside as well as in the inside so that the people can almost feel healed just by walking in.
MASS AND VOID
On an elevated platform five volumes, representing the various functions of the program, are interconnected with a lower mass representing the public circulation. Form follows functions will be the best way to describe the Diagnostic Center.
LIFESTYLE
These volumes are deliberately designed very high in order to create this serenity and peace. The circulation path always culminates into screens filtering the external natural light to maintain the peaceful ambience of the center.
What is crucial is that not only the people working at the Diagnostic Center but the users and patients as well are immersed into a very calm and relaxing which is the first step of the healing process.
