ARCHELLO YOUR CONNECTION WITH ARCHITECTURE

The new building to be built would represent a significant scale enlargement compared to the existing school building. Despite the scale enlargement, we wanted to incorporate something of the restrained atmosphere that we found there in the way that this new program would establish itself there. The building became two stories high, surrounded by several school playgrounds for children of all kinds and ages, with additional trees and surrounded by all those beautiful thick green hedges. A building that, in its form and mass, does not reflect as a bastion in the district, but by a meandering façade line fits more into the scale of the local environment. It also helps to increase the contact area between the building and its surroundings. This principle was also a basis to work out a good contact between the inside and the outside of the design, what should be a starting point for an educational building as far as we are concerned.
