This country-style villa has been designed and developed to communicate with the landscape that surrounds it; enclosed by green hills dotted with olive trees of a plateau in the vicinity of the town of San Lorenzo del Vallo (CS). This strong landscape characterization is the key for interpreting the rustic contemporary design of the villa. The colors of the plowed and planted land, adorned with olive groves and vineyards, are recalled by the floor’s veins and by the presence of scenic trees: essential characteristic of continuity between the landscape and the interior of the villa. The open floor plan is warm and has a welcoming atmosphere: to create furniture solutions long beams made of solid wood, vintage furniture and a creative idea that plays on transparency and suspension of the bottles of wine. The tavern is rustic, enhanced by live materials like wood and stone, while the central fireplace is designed to become the real domestic hearth. Designing a villa that interfaces with a historical tradition and landscape so rich in, means reinterpreting traditional architectural language with a modernity that does not forget the past memories of this land.
