Bridge without pillars? A bridge without pillars is more elegant than a bridge with pillars.
Pylon A pylon with bracing from one side is more dynamic than two pylons with symmetrical bracings from two sides.
Bridge and pylon as a unit The bridge and its pylon "in one piece" is simple and elegant. Statically, the unit also proved to be advantageous, as it caused only minimal loads (vertically, from its own weight) on the foundation. Both the bridge and the pylon cross-section are formed according to stress forces. This provides a very cost-effective construction.
Cobra The merger of bridge and pylon creates a "tension" which is reminiscent of the concentrated forces of an erect cobra, and also takes on its formal qualities.
Place to stay near the water On the left side of the river the road is widened, so that on the one hand bicycles can turn easily and on the other hand, space remains for seating with two-sided view on the Salzach River.
Location of the pylon The riverside walkways remain continuously straight at the connection to the pylon. Through the need for the bridge's ramps the riverside path moves slightly inland. Just beyond the path of the pylon towers and cables are located on the buildable property 929/141 .
