Professors House hosts the meeting and amenities space for teachers of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Located on the campus of the institution, the project is positioned respectably in an environment with a persistent historical and natural load.
The topography as an opportunity. A project based on the topography that rises from the ground its main program, protecting it from the moisture of the region, and allowing a new experience or it context of lush native vegetation. Under the main program, in direct contact with the natural environment, the area of outdoor recreation: protected and allowing enjoyment of another order.
The ramp as a connection with the environment. The ramp is adapted to the topography and strengthens the notion of an elevated project. It connects in a simple and universal way the new proposal with existing approaches.
The skin as an efficient device.A simple element is responsible for defining the relationship between the inside and the outside. Low cost and low maintenance, the metal skin prints a strong formal presence to the entire set.
