Located in a condo in Guatemala City, the house seeks to create an identity and a direct realción with the natural environment. Changed the structural design of the house making the structure of masonry and frame structure concrete beams. With intent to emphasize the structural elements, and to seek to highlight the local construction methods and materials, design work was done using fine timber formwork to achieve leave a permanent imprint on the exposed concrete.
The design of the window frames are made to explore opportunities to aperturar spaces as possible, and using floor to ceiling windows are achieved fully open the openings of the room so the room itself becomes a balcony. Exitente vegetation was preserved so that when you open the windows could have a visual relationship and face of the existing trees.
White was used for the horizontal and verticals (slabs and walls) in order to cause the spread of natural light. Materials such as tempered glass, wood and exposed concrete used in its size and natural colors create a arquiectura getting sober and straightforward.
