This house is located on a small suburban plot in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. Built on a very steep terrain and subject to extreme weather, this house takes local materials into a design built to assure confort for the family living in it. Black shist invites the winter sun into its walls heating it, while the granite protects the shist during the high summer sun.
