Urban public space in historical center of Riga, competition project, 2nd prize

Competition requirement asked for reconnection of today's unnoticeable, but important part of Brivibas boulevard to the city life environment and make it an outstanding and inviting part of Brivibas boulevard ensemble. Main improvement idea emphasizes the existing planning qualities and regards Brivibas monument as an urban space focal point. Chosen materials and light will give the place a new meaning which will be noticeable from different viewpoints.
