Bamboo Ceiling (200,000m2) eyecatcher at Barajas Madrid Airport

The ceiling at Barajas Madrid International airport (T4), designed by Richard Rogers, consists of 200,000 m2 of gently curved laminated bamboo laths, and is therefore the largest industrial bamboo project in the world. To comply with the stringent fire safety norm, the laths were custom made by MOSO International and manufactured from multiple, individually impregnated, layers of MOSO bamboo veneer.
