The Balcony Houses constitute the southeastern completion of the Bernts Have housing estate in Holbæk. The three-storeyed balcony houses are built of yellow tile with large glass covered staircases and lifts.

The balcony houses are located on the highest point of the housing estate affording an unique view of the open landscape towards the south and of Bernts Have towards the north. The open green common areas between the individual housing sections unite the building whilst providing life, activity and social life close to the house.

The balconies are very big and located in such a way that each housing unit has an open as well as glass-covered balcony area. All apartments on the first and second floors, regardless of sizes, have a balcony. There are three types of houses, which vary in size from 79 to 122 m2. All apartments have a large living room/kitchen/family room opening to either a terrace or a balcony, one large bedroom, a hall and an easy accesible bathroom.
