Aarhus School of Architecture exhibits at Milan Design Week from 14-19. April. With architectural projects and experimental building elements in 1: 1 elucidates school theme "Engaging Through Architecture" in one of the most prominent showrooms in Ventura Lambrate.
The projects include Cocoon, a reconstruction of a digitally generated and craftsmanship bamboo pavilion, as students from Aarhus School of Architecture has recently designed and built in India along with Indian architecture students and local artisans.
Another project discusses - based on punched building fragments from demolition threatened houses - whether abandoned and kondemneringsmodne houses, despite the loss of function, still plays a role in the community - through stories and cultural values.
Additionally, you brand new examples of experiments with digital fabrication, architectural installations with light and sound as well as building elements of 1: 1.
"All the projects that we exhibit in Milan, provides answers to future social and architectural challenges - such as sustainability, settlement and transformation of our cities and buildings. The projects that demonstrate new ways of thinking and in terms of our perception of architecture, "explains Rector Torben Nielsen.
