This residential villa in Arnhem in the Netherlands showcases a traditional solution for modern day living. The authentic thatched roof covers both the roof and the facade. It required a flexible daylight solution. The owner choose FAKRO roofwindows to provide a sea of natural light. Six combination were made, each placed using FAKRO’s specially designed reed flashing. The flashing has been developed together with the Dutch Association of Thatchers. This way FAKRO created an unique solution which perfectly compliments the thatcher’s job and provides a watertight installation.
