The Gate is located on Charles Helou Avenue, one of the major thoroughfares into the center of Beirut. Specifically, this site is located on the boundary of Beirut Center district, and its location along this route, causes the project to be perceived as a portal into the city. The Gate is constituted of two towers: a 25 story office building with retail base directly located on the major highway, and an 18 story residential building located to the inside of the site. Each building's subtle shifts and chamfers react to the surrounding context, while allowing the best possible configuration for views and lighting. A vertical garden extends through each building, unifying the two and connecting them via a public sky-bridge.
