FDArchitecture have recently completed this remodelling and refurbishment of a prestigious 2 bedroom residence in a central London mansion block for a private client and his family.
The project comprises contemporary bespoke joinery and fixtures alongside traditional features retained to ensure that the character of the property was not lost.
To achieve the clients brief it was necessary to implement a design that employs an untypical plan arrangement. As there was no opportunity to extend, the resulting arrangement makes creative use of all the available space within the apartment.
The built design achieves two spacious bedrooms, en-suite and large family bathrooms and connected kitchen/dining space and living room; these two spaces can be separated again through a discrete sliding door set concealed within bespoke full height shelving feature.
The hallway has carefully chosen lighting and a curved wall to give the impression of the maximum volume and, given the nature of modern London life, there is also a dedicated space designed solely for storage and display of the clients’ passion for racing cycles.
