Urban Competition-London 2008- ADAPTABLE ARCHITECTURE GALLERY ON THE THAMES RIVER

We participated in a competition organized by ARQUITECTUM competitions & events-London 2008 -. The challenge consisted in designing a "mobile gallery", to travel along the River Thames, connecting visitors and gathering spaces along its route. This container should be versatile enough to accommodate multiple functions using single mutations of the structure, will consist of a lightweight structure installed on a barge with a basic program of 500m2. The agenda set required: permanent exhibition hall, with the possibility of becoming 200m2 auditorium. Temporary Showroom 40m2. Tank maintenance-10m2. Service number: 20m2 health. Cafeteria 100m2. Observation space 100m2. Circulation and 100m2 walls. Levels and heights 9m max. Within design parameters requesting the mutation and flexibility, by strategic displacement of its parts. Technology. Spatiality. Natural light-artificial.
