Family house project was implemented in the city district of Brno - Utechov. The house was designed for a family with children and stands on a plot of irregular shape. It is constructed on a slightly lopsided plot is designed to guarantee sufficient privacy, maintain the largest garden area possible and at the same time allow for the preservation of the attractive view in to the forested valley from the dining room. Due to the nature of the plot, the L-shaped house appears to be two-floors high when viewed from the street and only one floor high from the garden. The outer "shell" of the house, which is exposed to the eyes of passer-bys, is rather modest and enclosed except for the square-shaped window of the dining room. The south-facing (garden-facing) wall, on the other hand, is widely opened with fitted glass panels thus ensuring the maximum solar-energy catchment possible in conformity with the low-energy conception of the house. Ground floor is covered with a flat roof that protects bedroom from direct southern sun. Visually enclosed garden is finished off with a retaining wall that is parallel to bedrooms and creates an intimate part of the garden with terraces and seating areas. On the western side of the land has been designed outdoor pool with wooden terrace and pergola with outdoor fireplace. The house is designed in white color, in combination with wood, that creates bright, open spaces for its interiors.
