This design is for a major commercial bank client who wants to convert an old double volume space, on the 2nd level, into a premier banking hall. The direction given was to approach it as a new concept which deviates from the usual premier banking style that exist in all other banks' branches.
The idea of adopting a loft-styled design for OCBC Thomson Premier Centre is largely due to the existing double volume ceiling height and available high brick walls. Throw lights from the above timber trellis and cove light from the sides illuminate the center’s signage on a concrete screed wall.
A library wall stands at the lounge area where customers are entertained. Signature designer pieces have been selected to enhance the overall cosy ambience. Brick walls and concrete screed walls with white border frames have been incorporated in meeting rooms in response to the centre’s general thematic layout.
