ICONIC HERBERT SAMUEL RESTAURANT TO OPEN AT THE RITZ-CARLTON, HERZLIYA
Israeli Master Chef Yonatan Roshfeld brings Herbert Samuel to The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya, creating a kosher version of his iconic Tel-Aviv restaurant. Herbert Samuel is the ultimate destination for fine dining in Israel and is best known for its innovative interpretations of French and Mediterranean cuisine.
Using fresh ingredients straight from the local market complemented by the best Israeli wines, the menu embraces meat and fish dishes while abstracting all dairy products. The menu will feature Herbert Samuel’s signature dishes such as the veal cannelloni and the chestnut gnocchi.
"Today people are more health-conscious when it comes to dining out. Even the more traditional kitchens are favouring lighter and healthier options, such as the growing trend of avoiding high fat dairy products, such as butter and cream," says Chef Yonatan Roshfeld, "our menu will give diners the opportunity to indulge in an elevated kosher experience without losing the flavours and richness of fine dining cuisine."
Diners can enjoy a gastronomical experience within the restaurants’ contemporary and relaxed setting, characterized by the open kitchen, outdoor terrace and elegant interiors, designed by Israeli designer Gad Halperin. The Rooftop Pool at The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya sits atop the 12 storey property overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The spectacular 360 degree view presents the Tel-Aviv and Jaffa coastline to the east with a beautiful backdrop of the largest Marina in Israel. The clean, contemporary designs of the pool area are inspired by the natural warmth of the sea. Yonatan Roshfeld Yonatan Roshfeld is an Israeli chef, restaurateur and Israeli Master Chef Judge. He is the culinary designer behind several celebrated, award-winning restaurants such as Herbert Samuel, Tapas 1 Ha'am and The Alma Lounge and has been leading the food culture in Tel Aviv for the last twenty years. Roshfeld trained in the South of France under Chef Jacques Chibois at the 2 Michelin starred Royal Gray and at Chef Jacques Lameloise's three Michelin starred restaurant in Chagny-en-Bourgogne and was recently named as top "Rising-Star Chef" by Food and Wine magazine.
