Situated in the leafy, northern suburbs of Athens, Woodwing Villa is a flexible home that responds to the needs of its inhabitants by adapting spatially to the changing seasons. During the winter months the house functions as a warm, protective shell, enclosing the family within. As the days become longer and warmer the shell retracts, opening up to the garden and expanding the living area to include the terrace and deck. Natural building and cladding materials age gracefully and blend well with the surrounding forest environment. Inside, the furnishings carefully combine classic and contemporary design to create a timeless interior.
