Project EGG has been an adventure about 3Dprinting, collaborating and experimenting in a complete new way by Dutch designer Michiel van der Kley. Together with the community of 3D printers and interested peoples he build a pavilion of 4760 3D printed stones: 4760 slightly different unique stones that form an organic space of 60 m3.
Project EGG was presented to the public at Dutch Design Week last October and it will travel around the world this year, just to show its beauty and give people an idea of what this new shape language and a new way of manufacturing brings in the near future. The project will have its appearance during the Salone del Mobile, April 2015 at Via Ventura 15, Milano to start with.
