The flat was designed for a young family with two little girls. Working in creative industries, the owners requested us for a bold and cheerfull aproach to design. The startpoint was the geometrical wallpaper applied in the lunch area that stretches into the kitchen. Its bold colours were the guide lines for the rest of the colour-scheme design, incorporating solid contrasting colors in the living/family room and entrance of the apartment, located in a 32 storey tower in the city of Ribeirao Preto-Brazil. One arrives at the apartment trough a red entrance hall, that opens to the living/dining area. A large light installation, designed by YTA with several acrilic boxes, with different sizes and heigths, unifies the large room, as a playful lighting solution. A blue box comprises the TV and study area; a blue denim curtain protects the place from the harsh sun. The dining room opens up to a covered terrace, where two large blue daybeds welcome the family to enjoy the sunset, or a barbecue. Low maintenance plants were planted in several black ceramic vases, and bring life to the space.
