The building for the Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in Colombia aims to provide through an image architecture capable of expressing the new diplomatic relations between the two countries; The project comes at a time of changing political tide sponsored by the new Colombian government. The architectural proposal is set in a corner plot of 680m2 formerly occupied by a house of the 80s, where the Embassy worked until he was evicted to make way for new construction.
Located in a comprised of residential and office of around six stories high, with a predominant use of brick facades, buildings neighborhood the new building is a respite from an area of high density. Its low height and occupation of land, gardens and a neutral color palette and materials contrast with the surrounding buildings.
