The Dauphin HumanDesign Group will again be appearing at Orgatec Office & Object 2018 (23 to 27 October 2018) as an expert provider of ergonomic services and a complete provider of functional furnishing solutions for modern working environments. With “Dauphin Stilo”, the corporate group is already giving a little foretaste of its new products for 2018 that will be presented over an area of more than 1,000 square metres in Hall 8.1, Stand B/C 028-C031. The new “Stilo” range of office chairs combines design and functionality and is designed for ergonomic working in the 21st century: robust but with a delicate appearance, flexibly adjustable and yet also still affordable.

Offenhausen, June 2018. We live in an age of rapid change – and the daily office has also experienced great change in recent years. People have become more mobile. They are increasingly leaving “their” desk and choosing the workplace that most inspires and motivates them for each task. Co-working spaces and offices with a variety of “working islands” are replacing traditional workplace models.

Dauphin is reflecting this trend in the new range of office chairs designed by Jessica Engelhardt: “Stilo” looks particularly slender and flexible at first glance, with its clear lines and wide, unbroken surfaces, but it is so discreet that the range's swivel chairs and visitor chairs blend harmoniously into any environment. The seating looks just as good in a young start-up business as it does in an agency or home office.

Dynamic, practical, Stilo

The key to this success is dynamic sitting with individual adjustment of the office swivel chair to the changing movements of the person sitting on it. For example, the “Stilo” office swivel chair is ideal for workstations used by a number of different people – for example in call centres or with desk sharing. The user can, depending on the specific requirements and their personal workplace situation, choose the appropriate mechanism using the building-block principle. The height-adjustable “Stilo smart work” with see-saw mechanism always cuts a fine figure with its delicate appearance in a home office and at temporary workstations.

Using the Syncro-Quickshift basic technology, users can quickly and conveniently adjust the backrest counterpressure to their own individual needs. By contrast, the Syncro-Smart-Automatic mechanism automatically adjusts to the user’s body weight. The Syncro-Activ-Balance mechanism with automatic Balance function ensures the correct seat tilt at all times – particularly in the case of a predominantly forward-leaning working posture. With the 3D-Balance mechanism, the seat surface and backrest follow the user's movements in all working positions, forwards, backwards and to the sides.

Particularly good for the back

The “Dauphin Stilo operator” model recently received the renowned AGR “Tested & recommended” seal of quality. Developed as an important decision-making aid for consumers, the AGR certificate is only awarded to products that have demonstrated their back-supporting design in front of an independent testing board made up of experts from different medical fields.

All-rounder with a timeless design

Deliver outstanding quality, ergonomic functions and modern design at an inexpensive price – these were the specifications that the designer had to meet in her development work. For “Dauphin Stilo”, Jessica Engelhardt therefore opted for simple and timeless, yet distinctive styling which focuses attention on what really matters. Both the office chairs and the conference and visitor chairs, which are available as cantilever chairs or four-legged versions with and without castors, look particularly light thanks to their slender design. All “Stilo” models manage with just a few components and can be configured to reflect your needs.

For example, the “Dauphin Stilo” office chairs can be equipped with different backrests to suit your particular taste and needs – in the “Stilo style” with a black, opaque knitted cover. In the “Stilo mesh” version, the chair is available with a breathable mesh backrest in six different colours. “Stilo mesh comfort” combines the black mesh with a fabric-covered upholstered cushion. “Stilo operator” is the classic with an upholstered backrest and a robust plastic outer shell. The multifunctional armrests and a height-adjustable lumbar support are also available as optional extras. All plastic parts of “Stilo” are in a subtle black colour.

With the all-rounder “Stilo”, Dauphin is expanding its portfolio of ergonomic office chairs to include a versatile and high-quality range in the entry-level price segment – the ideal solution to suit all requirements, from the home office to fitting out entire companies.
