This outdoor setting, was inspired by two elements from a Japanese rock garden – a naturally worn “skipping” stone, and sharp, vertical stems of bamboo.
The lightweight, Tasmanian Oak dowel base is strong through its natural, triangular structure.
Its crisp airiness contrasts with the solid cast “stone” top, which incorporates recycled rubber crumb for texture and toughness.
The seat is contoured for comfort, whilst the table is flat for function.
A different aspect from every direction, this organic setting has tension between its elements.
