The natural acid reactions have the result that the color of the silver edition veneers is not monotonously standardized but that color play and growth pattern of the wood remain uniform – a strong advantage to artificially colored veneers. The color is built in the cell walls so that an open-pored veneer with natural character and silver shine is resulting. It´s first of all the grey oak with its ring porous wood that suits for being veneer with matured timber character. But also hornbeam, ash or sycamore a very well suitable for silvering.
