Patented insulated glass system with all-glass appearance VARIO is patented double-glazing sytem with the typical appearance of a complete glass facade. VARIO can completely fulfill the requirements of ETAG 002.

The glazed elements are fixed back to the facade structure using system-specific anchors. The glass is held back to the inner gasket by means of this connection. These system connections achieve both mechanical restraint and safety of the outer sheet. The particular placement of the anchors within the glass makes them almost invisible.

These special types of construction often require local authority approval – if necessary this must be obtained by the facade contractor.

European Patent: EP 0628672

Standard composition VARIO insulated glass with „warm edge“ bent corner spacer bars. Spacer bars are CHROMATECH PLUS. Dual seal with a primary seal of Polyisobutylene and secondary seal of silicone, spacer bar coverage 16 mm.

Outer sheet: 8 mm SECURIT-H, edges polished Cavity: 16 mm (A) - warm-edge spacer, black Inner sheet: 6 mm SECURIT PLANITHERM ULTRA N

Glass types The individual sheets are of SECURIT or STADIP. The constructive separation of the outer sheet gives VARIO good acoustic values as a bonus.

The use of CHROMATECH PLUS spacer as standard improves the thermal insulation of the whole façade (Ucw) by 0.12 W/m²K when compared to conventional aluminium spacer bars (based on a unit size of 1.23 x 1.48 m)
