RED 365 SYSTEM: green energy, 365 days a year
The MCZ group is now launching a new brand, RED, which complements traditional energy systems to produce energy from the sun and from biomass, reducing CO2 emissions, enhancing comfort and cutting the cost of energy.
The RED product line includes biomass systems (pellet stoves, pellet and wood boilers, remote tanks for boilers) and solar systems (panels, water cylinders, control unit), all of which are easy to use, afford high performance levels and are competitively priced. RED, designed for those who care about the environment and appreciate the savings which
alternative systems ensure, thanks also to the tax abatements offered in a number of countries, uses the two largest energy sources, the sun and biomass, to supply energy and air conditioning to domestic settings, drawing primary energy from the environment in a balanced
way and without releasing harmful gases into the atmosphere.
BIOMASS SYSTEMS
Pellet stoves
All models are available with three different heat distribution systems: Air (through forced ventilation, the stove heats the room quickly and more efficiently), Multiair (thanks to the optional hot air ducting, the stove can also heat other rooms in the home) and Hydro (by using the existing plumbing system, the stove heats the entire house, providing plenty of
domestic hot water).
RED stoves make for a particularly convenient and practical system which is incredibly simple to use. The system offers a number of benefits: easy to find and store pellets; excellent programming options (on/off, desired temperature setting) thanks to a simple, user-friendly
control panel and a programmable timed thermostat (optional); the long running time (up to 48 hours on a full load of fuel), thanks to the large tank; cast iron top, front and grate for long-lasting durability; the painstaking and beguiling finishes, because an appliance that affords superior technical performance levels can also have an appealing design.
The quality of RED stoves has been certified by the major European certifying bodies: EC EN 14785, BAFA, VKF / AEAI, Regensburger / Münchener BStV, Art. 15a B-VG.
Pellet and wood boilers
RED boilers afford an efficiency of up to 93% and are homologated EN 303-5 class 3. A simple, user-friendly digital panel built into the boiler controls the entire system programming: with just a few simple commands, you can set the temperature the system will constantly
guarantee throughout the entire day. There is also a large ash drawer for weekly or monthly cleaning, making maintenance extremely simple.
The boilers can be incorporated with remote tanks with a capacity of 100 kg (supplied as standard with Practika), 200 kg or 400 kg (optional for all models).
SOLAR SYSTEMS
Solar panels
The sun is a precious source of energy at any time of year and at any latitude. Even during sun-shy seasons, RED solar panels always guarantee minimal recovery of solar energy thanks to their extraordinary performance levels: thanks to the higher efficiency compared to
market standards and to its larger size, a RED solar panel affords the same performance levels as approximately two standard panels, with the advantage of reducing installation costs (fewer panels are required) and of minimising critical points, namely connections between panels.
Solar heat can be used as an independent system for the production of domestic hot water, or it can be incorporated into biomass boilers, thereby completing the efficiency of the system and ensuring constant comfort and considerable savings. A RED solar system which teams a
solar panel with other high efficiency components can cover on average up to 70% of the annual energy intended to heat domestic water.
RED solar panels are built in Germany and are covered by a 5-year warranty.
The main advantages of this product include:
1. superior efficiency, especially during sun-shy seasons, owing to the protective solar glazing built to guarantee the best light rendering. The 3.2 mm thickness and the heat treatments make it resistant to all weather;
2. the absorber plate in the panel is whole, thereby avoiding the risk of heat loss which is typical of strip plates. Both the absorber plate and the coil are made of 100% copper. This avoids any problems due to thermal expansion and guarantees durability over time. In addition, the copper surface is TINOX coated to maximise solar absorption;
3. the coil structure, which compared to standard panels which feature a "harp-shaped" structure, allows for much more uniform solar capture;
4. complete insulation: the internal insulation is extra thick, 5 cm. In addition, unlike standard collectors which feature insulation on the underside alone, RED collectors also have lateral insulation, making it complete.

The RED control unit is capable of managing and standardising
complex plant engineering systems for optimal energy savings and
domestic comfort.
If features 40 pre-set programmes for different types of system, 5 inputs and 3 programmable outputs, and makes for easy programming thanks to clear, explanatory icons.
