This spring, Kähler will present the iconic Omaggio stripes in a beautiful and stylish pearlescent shade inspired by the soft hues of candinavian nature. The popular stripes will adorn vases in four different sizes.

Omaggio is one of Scandinavia’s most popular design objects. The hand-painted stripes in a wealth of colours already decorate many Scandinavian homes, and the classic Omaggio look has also won design hearts in much of Europe. This spring, Omaggio by Danish design duo Stilleben will come in a brand new and surprising look: a pure pearlescent shade. The discrete hue offers a warm comment to the ceramics and becomes an elegant reinterpretation of the classic, colourful Omaggio vase. The pearlescent shade creates a stunning, understated tone-on-tone look, which matches elegantly with any stylish décor where the new Omaggio vase merges elegantly with your other interior.

The vases are available in four sizes: a package with three mini vases that makes for the perfect hostess gift for the many spring gatherings – a small vase that matches both elaborate and subdued decor, the classic medium size for most types of flowers and the large vase for a lavish bouquet.

MOST STUNNING HERALD OF SPRING The new Omaggio colour is inspired by Nordic nature where the mother-of-pearl at the inside of shells decorates the Scandinavian coastlines and is the fine treasure we bring home from the first spring strolls along the beach. In nature, mother-of-pearl is formed as fragile crystal layers on shells, and natural white, yellow and rose colours emerge every time light is reflected in these layers.

When the warm rays of the spring sun penetrate your window and meet Omaggio’s pearlescent stripes, the same stunning lambency occurs as in nature when mother-of-pearl is created. The idiom of the new Omaggio vase is explained by Jelena Schou Nordentoft and Ditte Reckweg as follows: ”The shape of the Omaggio vases will be experienced quite differently now that the silhouette stands out more clearly than the stripes, and we find that the vase gets a truly exciting look without the distinctive, graphical stripes.”

Just as the other vases, the new Omaggio vase is manufactured in the same way as they were 100 years ago: with soft brush strokes, the stripes are hand-painted on each vase.

The delicate pearlescent Omaggio vase invites spring inside and is a wonderful and thoughtful gift for the many occasions of spring.
