Northern Light carpet tile collection combines soft floor comforts with a hard floor appearance. It has an understated and paired back appearance with subtle natural colours. A subtle linear pattern together with a refreshed colour range provides the perfect counterpoint for contemporary and sustainable interior design. With the Skinny Plank format of 25 cm x 100 cm the hard flooring appearance be created with installation methods, like herringbone or ashlar. Combining soft floor comforts with a hard floor appearance it gives a laid back, modern and natural feel.

Microtuft with around 50% less yarn

Northern Light is a plain level loop microtuft. Following the ‘less is more’ principle, we designed a category of product, called Microtuft, which uses approximately 50% less yarn to achieve equivalent performance.

Microtuft bridges the gap between a carpet tile and hard floor, offering substantially better acoustics than hard floors and a sophisticated aesthetic surface which is easy to clean. The Microtuft category is among our highest growth products, accounting for around 14% of European sales in 2012.
